Roman Holiday

Inspired by the Women’s March that was being held in Rome last weekend, we booked our last minute train tickets and headed to the kingdom of ancient ruins, Catholicism, and vibrant street life. Our lack of completing any prior research before visiting (while this could be deemed as terrible advice, I recommend) proved to be a great thing – we walked the entire time with our mouths agape. And in my opinion, the walk to the Colloseum is tied with actually seeing it itself: full of live music and awe-inspiring sites. Seriously, don’t Google it. Just go. (I guess by sharing travel content I am juxtaposing this. So maybe … if you plan on visiting Rome soon, revisit my post after and we can gush together. Another key moment was having my friends join me in Vatican City to watch Pope Francis appear from his apartment window and give a blessing. CatholicFangirling is my favorite executed new verb of 2017.
